help quick!!!!running isue!

hi i have a 1988 lx speed density and just yesterday out of nowhere i noticed the cars response and behaviour was being wierd, if i keep my foot steady on the pedal and im steady around 2500rpm i feel alittle bogging and hesitation, at WOT the car still beasts it out but theres alittle different feel to it, it was also idling slightly wierd but idle went back to normal after warm,could it be my tfi module?

mods: offroad h-pipe to flowmasters,pullies,bbk intake,bbk shorty headers,frame connectors,

Did you just buy gas? If so you may have gotten some bad gas. Otherwise maybe the coil, plug wires, distributor cap/rotor even a plug that went south. Just some simple things to check.

no it was almost empty wen it started and i just got a coil about a month ago,how would i go about checking the wires or the cap/rotor?sorry im semi new to this..also i took it out for a spin again and 1st gear was pretty normal but 2nd i had maybe 2/3 power then i got to about 4000rpm and all the power came back,so i continued to 3rd and back to 2/3 power followed by some wierd sound from my engine,sounded like sparking or igniting maybe 1 sec apart:s

If it was almost empty then theres your problem. The gauges vary and are optimistic in these cars. Id say its low of fuel (out). The dist cap can be pulled by the 2 clips and inspect. If its the orginal then go buy a new cap, rotor,plugs and plug wires. Make sure you get the firing order back correct,13726548. Looking at the motor number one is on the right side (passenger side) first cylinder and goes 1234 front to back then the left side is 5678 front to back. My car will show 1/16 of a tank and in reality is out of fuel. Hope this helps.

ok so i cleaned some stuff up stiffined up a loose battery connection and still the same,but now it almost always is 100%on WOT but still wierd
