ordered new tach

i have been collecting guages for a month now. so far autometter a/f, water, and oil. i doint trust my factory tach, but i doint like the 5'' monster tach look. i just went through my whole interior and the thought of a big ass tach mounted on my dash is just to much to stomach for me. looked at 870 tachs on summit and found this one
Stewart Warner 114919 - Stewart Warner Performance Ultra-Shift Digital Tachometer Shift Lights - Overview - SummitRacing.com
then i found 1 left in stock on amazon for $164 shipped!
this thing looks sweet! it has everything im looking for in a veary small package. tach, shift light, and a recall. what ya guys think?

i think i will. i've spent tons of time and money on my interior. i'm not going to clutter it up with a 5'' tach on my dash!

your car looks good sweet actually, but thats exactly what i'm talking about. i doint like the 5'' tach on the dash look. Or the thought of bolting one down on the dash. like i said i have spent ALOT of time and money on my interior in the last 8 months. i have done alot of custom 1 off fab work on my car because i doint want it to look like the other 3 million foxes out their. the factory guages in these cars are a joke though . my mods are allways form&function, not one or the other. i will probobly fiberglass a guage pod for it with a open back (for acces to the bottons on the tach/shift light) on the cockpit part of the dash sinse it can be changed easily in the future if not wanted. it will sit right about where your shift light is now. if your thinking right now "another i'm going to fiberglass it in guy" and rolling your eyes right now then serch for the cup holder thread! my mods doint dissapoint (just my speeling and grammer do lol!) example:

I know exactly what u are saying. My car is more of a drag/driver not a show car.
I wasn't being sarcastic.

well i'm getting started on the tack install. i'm locked out of my photobucket right now so i caint post picks tonite
the guage came in ,and it looks awsome! i went to my parts guy and picked up an extra dash bezle for the grand total of free. i was buying some other parts and he is the guy i gave my 1st prototype cup holder counsole to , so i get pretty good deals from the guy. i wish i could post pics tonite, but o well. the tack is going to mount in a custome fiberglassed tack bezle on the top right hand side of the dash bezle. to get a visual of what i'm doing. the tack is about an 1 1/4'' longer than a empty toilet paper roll. it also fits through the inside nice and snug. i allready laid t-shirt and the first layer of glass over it. once i get it pretty strong i'll glue it in the spot i want it. then i'll glue more t-shirt fabric ofer it in the ruff shape i want it to be in. my plan is to make this look like a store bought piece. i'll get pics up soon. this is going to come out looking awsome so stay with me
