Will a 302 fit through my door? (no really...)

I know it sounds like a joke, but here's my question:

I am considering getting a notchback to learn on to prepare for building a cobra kit later down the road.

I've worked on cars a little bit and love taking things apart, cleaning them/repairing them and putting them back together - so I'm thinking 'teardown and rebuilding an engine might be fun!!'

Here's the problem - I don't have a garage. I have a house (own) and a concrete slab basement with lots of space....

so my question is: will a 302 and engine stand fit through a standard width door? I'd hate to get the car and get the engine out only to find I cant get it into the house.

Strange I know, but that's my question.

Its just a standard sized door and no stairs - I have a split level house - I would just walk it around back and right into the house.

I've also thought of getting a shed for the house and working in there, but honestly I figured it would be worse for any parts I broke down in terms of moisture etc than the basement.
