aod adjustment or replacement

well here I am moving on to the next issue on my 90 GT. Took the car around the block yesterday and noticed first gear takes time to engage when cold, second feels hard, third is fine, and fourth(od) is not kicking in. speedo cable is broken. also found one wire cut on the vss harness.

Now I'm looking at adjusting it. If that doesn't work I have a working one that I removed from an 85 gt, not sure if they are compatible though.......
