89 Vert Wheel Question. Please Help!
Hey guys. Just picked up a 89 GT convertible and have been doing some research. Sorry if I sound ignorant, Im a noob.
Anyways I am getting my car painted black. I wanted to go with 17x8's in the front and 18x9's in the back. I have the original 4x108 bolt pattern. Is this doable with H&R springs? The wheels I really like are these: FRONT: REAR: Another issue is the fronts are available in 4x108, however when i go up to 18's they only come in a 5 lug bolt pattern. Does anyone know what parts I need to convert the rear to a 5 lug and how much it costs? Thanks in advance guys! |

you should in theory be able to fit 18x9 on the rear without any trouble you just have to remove the quad shocks...
i managed to fit mine without rolling the fender lip and just used a spacer... have now fit some 18x10 in the rear rolled the fender and still got loads of space... about 1/2" outer lip and 1" inner... largest tyre you can fit staying with the rolling radius of the original is 275/35/18. to convert the rear ro 5 lug you need to get some new half shafts rear seals and you have to match the splines on the end of the shafts to what you have now... so if you have 32 grooves in the tip you need 32 on the new ones or they wont fit... (kinda obvious) if your running drums still youll need to convert to a rear disk set up... |
