Need a cam....help ASAP

Alright guys so I'm getting the parts together to build up my new toy..a bone stock 89' GT automatic.
My parts so far are an Edelbrock Performer 5.0 intake thats ported and polished, a set of GT40P heads that just got rebuilt with new valves, retainers, comp cam bee hive springs good up to .600 lift and converted to stud rockers, scorpion 1.6 roller rockers, BBK shorty headers, off road x pipe, 3200 stall convertor, 3.73 gears...and some other stuff....
Now to my question what size cam can i run with the stock pistons? I'm trying to stay away form the ford letter cams heard some bad things about them. Is anyone running an Anderson cam N 41, N 71? or the Trick flow Stage 1 or 2? I looking for the biggest lopping cam possible! plain and simple. The car is going to be a weekend driver around town will never go on a track. I want to pull up at the red light and have the guy next to me ask what the hell is done to that thing, my 93 351 had a .520 cam and i want to go bigger with this build. So what is the biggest I can go? Keep in mind my heads are built to hold it, just need to know what cam to run. Thanks guys

No matter what cam you go with, you will have to check piston to valve clearance, just to be safe. No sense putting all that money into you motor, just to have a failure. I think the Anderson N41 would be an excellent choice.

I've got a stock 89 HO short block in my 82 Capri with a Comp XE266HR cam
(216/224 @ .050 w/ 544/555 lift), box stock Twisted Wedge 170 heads and 1.6 roller rockers. When I checked my PTV clearance I had over .100 on both intake & exhaust, but every motor is different. I've got to say the XE266 is an excellent cam, way, way more power, drivabuility, rumpy idle than the old E303 I replaced.

Good choice on skipping the letter cam. Of you go with Anderson, make sure you ask them if your springs will work with their cam. No spring is good to xxx amount of lift. Springs just don't work that way, and typically, you should buy the springs after the cam, to make sure you get the proper ones for the cam.

Get the N41 cam from Anderson. Great grind for those heads. I've seen STOCK gt40p heads with that cam and an explorer intake that is ported go 11.9.
