fuel problem

Car was running great, turned it off, tried to restart and it wouldn't. I noticed the fuel pump was running constantly when the key is on. Replaced the fuel pump cause I needed a bigger one anyway, and its doing the same thing. Suggestions??

If your car is a 1995 the fuel pump relay is not under the seat, i think its on the passenger side strut tower. 1991 and under the relay is under the drivers seat and 1992 and up, its under the hood

yes, its a 95...

Apparently, there is not a stand alone relay for the fuel pump...it is included with a few others inside a box called the Constant Control Relay Module....which costs about 175 wholesale and is dealer only part....anyone confirm this??

I recently replaced mine on my 94 which is located behind the radiator in front of the coolant reservoir. I had to get mine from Ford itself and cost me $230. if you check anywhere like autozone, pep boys, o Reilleys, or even napa. they will say they dont have it because they dont know it as an constant control relay module. they know it as the powertrain control module. wish i woulda found that out before i bought it from ford. But atleast i know it was the right one

How was it tuned, did pops burn a chip? May be a longshot, but if I load a blank tune into my car the fuel pump will run constantly with ignition and do nothing else. It could be that the chip failed or isn't making contact all the way. Like I said, longshot though probably. I would find the pin that is for the fuel pump output and double check and make sure it's not sending a constant ground signal while the ignition is on.

Did you happen to be playing with the QH before this happened? If you don't have the hardware tab set-up correctly in BE and you try to make any changes to the tune it will load a blank. It'll look like it wrote to the QH and everything too so you wouldn't know anything was wrong until you went to start it.

No, i had not messed with it at all. I started the car, drove to best buy to meet a guy and pick up an S281 spoiler, got back in it to leave and it would not start....just for shits and giggles, i will reload the calibration and try it before i tear into the CCRM.
