need opinions with transmission question

ok so i had a aod in my car when i was about 14 since i couldnt LEGALLY drive my big brother drove my car around alot. one day he slammed on the gas and now no reverse. any idea what that could be? so i went to the junkyard got another aod that shifts great! used to squeal the tires when slamming on it going about 60. but now it will only chirp the tires from 1-2 thats about it.

could this transmission have had a shift kit that could have gone bad? or is this usually how aods act? dont get me wrong the tranny still shifts great but can only chirp from 1-2 and it shifts 1-2 really hard as well.

just looking for opinions on this. also someone gave me a brand new b&m shift kit. should i install it?

If you have a auto 5.0 and it "CHIRPS" as you say, you are lucky!! Most ive ever riden in or driven are slow and like gas.

I can chirp second if i do the aod shuffle.And yes aod's are gas hogs.
