Ok when i rev up my engine the rpm's drop slowly.I just noticed it.It runs fine, but it sounds kinda odd. When i get on it,it's fine it,its just when the revs dropoff, they dont drop fast.Any ideas?

Clean your IAC and throttle body. Mine comes down normally but will hang at 1k.. my 88 I had would drop quick back to idle. It sounded like it was carbed. The throttle response was a amazing and never had an issue with rpms hanging or idle issues. I think its because it was speed density though

Is it gonna stop?I took off the battery cables for a while today, and when i hooked it back up,the idle is a little better. When i rev it,it falls to about 1000rpm's hangs for a second ,then goes to normal. Its doing it a little faster than it did earlier.Would resetting the computer help???

My 94 slow.0 does the same thing. i'm going to bring it into a buddy of mine to see what he thinks BUT I've changed the TB / IAC and it still does the same anytime I have the IAC plugged in. I'm wondering if it's either a computer / power issue to the IAC. My car has LOADS of issues as I bought it with them. I'll post my findings by Weds

Clean your salt and pepper shakers! I completely forgot about these. I just got done cleaning mine and greasing them and holy shit it made a big difference. Not only in the idle, but the way the car drives also. Please give this a try on your car. I guarantee it will help. Also clean or change your pcv valve. I cleaned mine with carb cleaner because it wasn't terrible and I'm sure that helped too.

Here's a write up on the salt and pepper shakers. You don't have to spread the male connectors like it says. I didn't. I just packed a lot of dielectric grease in them.

This didn't even cross my mind. I'll give it a shot tomorrow as long as the rain lets up. Unfortunately I don't have a garage to work in :-P ... Post results as soon as I'm finished! :-)

This is the weird part, the idle didnt hang at all before cleaning the iac. When i revved it the revs would just drop slowly. Now i clean the IAC and the idle hangs when droppingl.I should have just left the IAC alone!!
