does my cam have to be computer compatable?


i was wondering when i buy a cam for my fuel injected motor if it has to be computer compatable?? iv seen alot of cams that say they arent compter compatable and there is only 1 iv found so far on summit that say it is computer compatable

if anyone can help me id apriciate it thanks!

what is really happening is the MAP sensor is reading little vaccum which is tricking the computer telling it that your car is pinned to the ground so the injectors are spraying more fuel and your motor is running rich. you can prolly get a tune from AM

Map sensor's on mass air cars are called Bap sensors. And they don't read vaccum. They read barometric atmosphere pressure. So your post doesn't apply to the OP, assuming he has the 94 gt in his sig.

And to the OP, I know the computers in the 94-95 cars are very picky with cams. But a tune will be needed afterwards most likely. I don't really understand what you are asking though..

iv found alot of cams put they mostly say non computer compatable and some say computer compatable so idk witch to run
