the best 5.0 street/strip intake manifold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


what is the best 5.0 efi intake manifold for a street/strip car.its for a 347 that is more of a race car then a street car.i am looking for the most bang for the buck,but a good intake.i dont want to buy it just because people say it is a good intake.

by the way it is a cobra.it dosent flow enough and limits the power to 350.i am looking for a considerable amount more then that somewere in the 475 rwhp range.on a 347 stroker motor that is currently carbed. want to convert it back to efi gave the stoker away and a low flowing after market.anyone tried the bbk ssi,i was also consider the track heat,and heard somthing about a typhoon ever heard of it.i need to know a.s.a.p need it this weekend.thanks for everyones openions.

Keep in mind the engine had a blower on it, but this will give you a comparison of the power difference. I have only hear bad things about the SSI. Haven't heard anything about the Professional Products Typhoon yet.

Sorry to hijack....

I noticed that my GT-40 has an inlet of about 55mm or same as the stock throttle body. What about the holly, trickflow, ect.. are they less restrictive than the GT-40? Is the inlet larger? I only ask because I have never seen any in person.

Also, if I remember right, the typhoon in a knock off of the edelbrock intake. not sure if it is the performer or performer rpm. I have heard both ways on this one, I've talked to guys that loved it and vice-versa. I guess some say the casting quality isn't as good.
