new to site, asking for help
I have a 93 5.0L that i want to supercharge. I have 5000 miles on a fresh engine. I want to go around 5 psi, but have a lot of questions. Is there a place here I can read about injector sizes, fuel pump specs, etc.
Thanks in advance, Jim |

Its really not that complicated. At 5 PSI just by a new Vortech and follow the directions. Personally I would by an 8 PSI unit. More supporting mods but still not that complicated. What’s your budget and what are your goals?

Does that "fresh" engine have forged pistons? If it does, I'd go at least 8 lbs, 42 lbs injectors, 255 lph in tank pump, matching MAF, etc. I'm assuming your car already has full exhaust, gears, etc? If not that's stuff you'll want to address first. No sense pumping boost into a car with full stock exhaust!

This is in a 1965 f-100. AOD and a 3.20 9" It has Kieth Black Hypereutectic Pistons, we bored the block and set the ring end gap for naturally asperated or up to 6psi. Exhaust is shorty headers, no converters, flowmaster series 40, 2-1/2" to the rear bumper.

make sure that what ever supercharger you buy leaves you room to grow, you dont want one that tops out at a low RPM. The power you get from it today may not keep you satisfied tomorrow. Im big on getting more then what you need, cuz my wants always change and i hate buying the same parts twice

I would think any Vortech for a 5.0 would bolt right up. Go to their website I believe you can down load the install manuals for all their chargers.
