idle problem
hey so i got a good deal on a bbk 70mm throttle body and installed it today but i have a problem with the idle. first i went to set a base idle at 800rpm but when i went to adjust the tps i could not get it below 1.4v i took both screws and i rotated it till it got down to .95 but the screw holes where way off. Also one of the screw holes is striped so it does not tighten down. I had to get home ( i was doing it at my parents more room to work) so i decided to drive it the idle was fine till it got warmed up then it would not idle below 2000rpm. when i got home i adjusted the idle screw and the idle dropped but the throttle is closed, only runs with the iac plugged in. Any ideas what could cause this does the tps influence the idle that much? Srry new to mustangs and this is my dd i cant take to many days off school.

yah, your TPS does influence it that much. you really dont need to take the screw all the way out. the holes should be oval to allow you to rotate the TPS once the screwms are barely loosened. for a quick fix...use a bigger screw(s) to hold the TPS

you need to E-long gate the holes with a drill bit in the TPS sensor. that should get you where you want to be

im not talking about the holes on the T-body. What im saying is to make the holes on the plastic TPS sensor slotted so that you can spin it more... In other words make the holes ovel
