Taking out the motor/trans.

So this Friday, my dad and I are taking the motor and transmission out of the car. its a 95 5.0 with a standard transmission. I was just wandering, any tips before we get this thing out? We were hoping to have it all done before the end of the weekend. We will be replacing the crank, gaskets, and a clutch. But yeah, any tips on getting the combo out would be appreciated.

Make sure you go to your local parts store and pick up the fuel line quick release tool. Its a must! Other than that, just unbolt it and pull it out!

Its a pretty simple deal really. Also don't forget to drain the trans fluid so it dosen't spill out the back as you are lifting everything out. Its also alot easier if you pull the shifter completly off of the trans. On the drivers side of the oil pan there is a single wire for the oil level sender, if you can't get it out, just cut the wire and use a butt connector to put it back togather.
