I run a c4 but I build my own and they can have issues with high torque but I am not. But I am not making 1000 hp either a well built aod or 4r70w would work if you must have od if you dont need od the a Well built C4 or C6 or a turbo 400 GM trans. Next thing we are gone to hear is no OD for cruising BUT remember turbos love to run up hill they love to have a load on them it makes them spool faster and longer.so you dont want to run a high rear gear like 4.11 or 3.73 you want to back back down to like 3.27 or 3.08 we run 3.31s and a 28 in tall rear tire with no od and can cruise out on the highway with out spinning the engine to hard 70mph is tops for me unless I am running the car hard if you want more then that I would be looking into a OD of what I spoke of a good built one is gone to cost you

I put a Lentech AOD behind my 331 stroker. Before I changed out the gears from 4:10 to 3:55, it would launch extremely well and still be in the power band at the finish. Never had any problems with it.

I only changed gears for highway driving. In Oklahoma, just about everything involves a trip on the highway.

PM'd

And they are GREAT transmissions. Once you settle on a stall, your good to go.

contact Dan silverfoxbody here , and silverfox at Click Click Racing - Click Click Racing and he can build and aod that will bolt right up and hold 700-1000 hp all day long and the shifts will break your neck, then I would contact allan @ DirtyDog Performance (Powered by CubeCart) about building you a stall, his stalls actually stall to what they claim on the foot brake, or when dan builds your tranny and valve body you can have him do it with a transbrake. Also there is no difference in a 306, 331, and 347 as far as worrying about the bore making the engine weaker, they are all the same bore .030 over its in the stroke where the cubes are made different.

So now im looking to build something on my own and do it all the right way the first time... now is 600 to the ground out of reach no but that is what i would like to be able to get out of my build if i turn up the boost and do the proper tuning. Would i be happy with a SAFE 500... yes i dont want to go the 302 stroker where 500 is borrowed time... so now i just have to find the best route for building and swaping these motors... What are your opinions on that
This is what I was referring to, if you are currently already at .030 over (306) then doing a 347 would not make 500 hp any more or less safe then leaving it a 306. Same bore different strokes
