Lx 2.3 to 5.0 conversion help!!!!

so here is where i am at i converted a 93 notch to a 5.0 everything is installed but now im having issues with the harness specifally the starter solenoid i figured out all of the fusible links but thier was 2 black wires that come out of the harness around the same area as the fusible links which were cut i immediately thought these were grounds but when i grounded them the car burned up a fusible link so now i am at a hold in my project i dont wanna burn the car to the ground any advice will help thanks guys

did they have orange stripes on them?

Wait... if you thought they were grounds, why did you cut them instead of grounding them?

i didnt cut them i found them this way it was all used and when determining why the car wont start i found them
