is this a good set up??

ok i have a 1988 mustang lx SPEED DENSITY,160,000 km,currently i have some minor upgrade:
BBK headers
BBK offroad H-pipe
Flowmaster exhausts
underdrive pulleys
BBK CAI
and cobra upper/lower intakes(65mm Tb)

now i was planning on buying a cam and i did some reading and found out that magnum cams from compcams.com will be good for a stock motor with stock heads?
I plan to get a cam, some RR's, trickflow street upper/lower intakes, and 3:55s in the rear with a possible tune by dasilva in toronto after that, would that work if i wanted to stay with speed density?(keepin it OG)
thank you guys

You're not gonna make shit without some heads. I would keep the cobra in take and spend the money u were gonna spend on the trickflow to get some gt40 heads. You'll make a lot more power. And I know the Anderson n-41 cam works great with this combo. You will need a tune though since you're running speed density. I would recommended investing in a megasquirt system. Or call around at shops and see if they can tune speed density before you proceed with the build.

You really need to ditch the SD.

There's nothing wrong with speed density. Just takes a little extra tuning. And can run just as fast or faster than mass air. If he wants to keep it, then more power to him. I preferred how my SD cars drove over my 91. My 87 and 88 seemed to have less drivability issues. And the OP can get a megasquirt system and tune it himself to save ALOT of money down the road. That's what I would do if I had another SD car.

Yeah I would with the setup I posted. Just make sure you get a tune or get a megasquirt kit because your car will not run lol. SD runs off vacuum so you might want a differenr cam. One with higher lsa numbers will work better with sd.

stock cam is best for stock top end period. Unless you change heads and have someone or you can afford the mega squirt or other tuner and can do it yourself like mentioned above, then go for it, but if you are just wanting it to have the "big cam sound" do not do it.
