Flywheels....
Anyone know which flywheel I need with a 89 HO engine and a 4 speed manual trans? I know the 4 speed is junk, but I want to keep the original trans in it and I wont be racing it. Most flywheels I see say they fit 80-93 but direct fit for 86-93. Im lost here. Why would it say the flywheel fits but not direct replacement?

Up to 85, 5.0 Mustangs used a 10" clutch, in 86 they changed to a 10.5" clutch. Is this a SROD 4 speed in a 83 Mustang? Ifso you should be able to use your orignal flywheel & clutch.
