Car cranks, adjusted timing, wont start.

Hey guys, Im in a bit of a bind here. I just installed a new msd distributor and everything was going good. I got a timing light and its set advanced by 12 degrees. Anyone have any ideas as to why its just cranking and not starting? 1988 GT 5.0 H.O. I do want to add that it started and ran. I let it run, went inside and thats when it stalled. Went back out to start it again, ran for a minute and stalled yet again. Ever since then its just cranking over and over.

Is your fuel pump priming? Have you checked to see if you are still getting spark?

ok I got it fixed. Yes the fuel pump was priming no problem. Believe it or not the metal plate that goes in between the TFI module and the distributor is what seemed to make the difference. Before I had just tighten one screw in place to keep the module plugged in. For some reason you have to completely tighten the thing (TFI module) down all the way (both screws). I turned the key and it fired right up. Had to re-adjust the timing again. So if anyone in the future is replacing the stock distributor with a new one make sure the module is tightened all the way down.
