HO swap

Ok so I have the cam and heads from my first 302 that was in my 67. It was an 87 HO motor and I currently have a 90 or so nonHO roller motor. I want to swap my cam and E7 heads over to my current motor. Do I have to have the HO pistons or can I use the everything without them? I don't want to install everything just to find out the valves will hit the pistons or something.

i doubt they will hit but i dont think the heads had anything to do with the HO aspect. i think it was all in the cam and firing order

I have crappy heads on it now, so I want to upgrade. I think I have E5s or E6s on it.

Lol, E7s are crappy too. Just a mild improvement that made the mustangs make 15 HP more...and you'll be fine. Its all about the cam/firing order as was mentioned above...

use craigslist or corral.net, look for some ported gt40p heads, you could probly find some ported ones for like 400 shipped, untouched gt40s are always for sale over on the corral
