Low oil pressure
while running cold at idle I have 50psi, after its up to operating temperature I'm down to 15-20psi at idle and about 30psi at 2000rpm. Just put in fresh 10w-40, no difference. How much cause for concern is this? I'm guessing the crank/rod bearings are worn and need replacing?

Assuming the gauge is functioning correctly, low oil pressure is almost always caused by worn bearings. As the gaps between bearings and the other components widen more oil leaks out and the pressure drops. Sometimes a high volume oil pump can be added to help "get by" because it will pump enough that oil will still go everywhere it needs to...but that is just a band-aid fix. Eventually you'll need to rebuild the engine.

That oil pressure looks fine to me! Start getting worried when you are getting less than 10 psi per 1000 rpm

Idk it seems kinda low to me. I have 30-40 at idle and about 70-75 at WOT, when my stang was stock it still ran 30 at idle and about 60 at WOT

Every motor is different... The motor in have in my car now, I build with looser tolerances I have similar numbers to him. 10 psi per 1000 rpm is the industry standard.

Ok, that's what I figured, it still runs really smooth. Maybe this winter I can get an engine lift and do it. It really sucks not having a garage though.

I wouldn't worry about that either. I did the same thing as Matt and my car runs about 15psi hot at idle. Only have about 700 miles on this engine, and I'm not worried in the slightest. I'd leave it be if it was my car.
