Biggest tire size on 93 fox body?

What is the biggest tire that would fit on a 93 mustang gt? My buddy would like to try and fit 275s on his mustang but doesnt know if they would fit. I believe the car is lowered about 1.5 inches.

2006 Mustang GT 5-Speed,4:10 gears, Predator cold air and tune, SLP loudmouth exhaust, kooks LTs and Xpipe 275 street tires, FRPP hot rod cams, mgw STS, .75'' rear drop,285drag radials, Steeda UDP's, 100 shot.

I was able to fit 275's by removing the quad shocks and partially cut away the exhaust past the wheel. Otherwise if you just remove the quads the tire will still hit where the exhaust bends as it exits towards the rear. You might be able to fit even a bigger size if you cut away that hard plastic. I had ordered a set of Weld Draglites with a backspacing of 5.5" and they fit perfectly.

I've ran 255s on 17x9s on all four corners of mine, but they rubbed a bit on the inside; that was with pretty high offset wheels, though, and a 1/4" spacer and some massaging with a BFH cleared it up. I'm also quad-shock delete.

With the right offset wheels 275s should fit just fine.

I've got 17" 275 drag radials on mine. Needed to do exactly what wildstang mentioned and remove the quads and get rid of my tail pipes. I also had to roll the lip on the fender because they would rub when I went around turns and hit bumps. Now they fit with no rubbing no matter how I drive the car. Mine is also lowered about an 1" though.

A have 17x10 with 275's on my 91...You dont need your quad shock if you have after market upper and lower control arms. This is the only way it will fit and if your exhaust comes out the back you will have to choose one or the other or do some wheel spacers but then you will have to roll the lip. I havent rolled my lip but I did put a sledge hammer to the inside wheel well and I still get very minimal rub from my rim not tire on a hard right turn. But if the looks what your going for then dont look back, they do look pretty cool. You would probably get away with the 275 if your rim is not as wide as mine with out the hammering...under a 10"

17x9 all around 275 drag radials. rear tires fit fine without quad shocks or tailpipes. i need to roll the fender though, corners and angle entries (driveways) cause a slight rub, but im also lowered about 1".

275's on mine with tail pipes and no quad shocks (got aftermarket arms), rolled my fender lips ut its only because I had my off set way out (intending to install torque arm etc.), but did a ton of 275's on foxes without issues.
