head gasket issue maybe
Ok so today i started my car up at lunch and noticed a little white puff of smoke coming from my driver side tail pipe n my coolant level was a inch low ( which is actually just water cuz i ran out of coolant a few days earlier n thought i had a leak plus no coolant on hand) so im thinkn a total teardown of my top end i have no sweet smell cuz its water also i noticed my car backfires a bit when i rev it from a.cold startup is that a sign of gasket failure too or also could my car just be smokin from condesation in my tail pipe another question if it was a gasket failure would it smoke constantly

Depends on the severity of the gasket failure. My S-10 had a leaky intake gasket and it was going into the combustion chamber. The only time I could see any smoke was when it was cold out in the morning. It was just a bit more than normal condensation that you would see when it was cold. When it was warm, no smoke whatsoever.
