100% new sending unit? no blockages in the tank? Follow the wires all the way to the dash to make sure they are not exposed or cut

Not sure exactly what that is but no exposed wire is good, get some electrical tape and tape that thing up. One thing you can do is to drop the tank again and pull out the sending unit, while its still connected and turn the key to the on position and move the sensor all the way up and see what it reads then drop it all the way down and see if it is reading full and empty, if it is then you know that there is an issue inside the tank somehwere, maybe the float isn't floating enough or something, maybe there is something stopping it from getting its full movement

Thats sum messed up shit i swear they should have these items seperated under different names theyare all listed as sending unit i think by replacing the pump though it fixed my idle hang issue beforewhen i revved my motor when it came back down it would hang at a grand for a sec now it doesnt hopefully my idle surge will go away too( which only happens in rainy conditions) maybe my pump was going bad who knows
