from an 89, to a twenty twelve!

So I was recently driving my fox down the highway after I just had some work done to it not to long before(h/c/i), and as I was approaching an exit ramp I heard the loudest banging, popping, and grinding noise as my car shut off, and I completely lost control but luckily saved it before it went off the road and down a valley. To get to the point, I'm done with the headaches for now, I've put a shit ton of money into my Fox body (yes I knew what I was in for, but didnt realize it was going to be this much), and without the time, and experience in the mechanical field, I'm throwing a cover on it and parking it in the driveway to hibernate for a little while. I know if I was to sell it, I wouldnt get close to half of what I paid/put into it. Hopefully over time I will fix it, but for now, I just bought myself a brand new 2012 5.0 and couldnt be happier! I completely fell in love, and am not dissapointed one bit. Its a GT premium, and dont have much more to say, besides no more headaches! ha. CHYEA!

Thumbs down

Nice new 5.0 , it's good to park the fox & let her rest.
You will get the fever & the money in time to bring her back alive.
My fox has been sitting for a couple of months & i finally had her towed to my friends garage & she is fixed & ready to go as soon as I get paid next week.
I appreciated the fact that he went on & repaired the car & got her ready to go for me.
All I have to do is drop the cost of repairs.

I'm glad to hear that you kept the fox. Mine sat for almost 5years before I fixed mine. Since my new engine swap I'm only on my second tank of gas. Lol

i feel ya dude.I work all week and it seems like every weekend i have to work on my car. From brakes to window motors,tune-ups,switches,transmissions,etc,etc.I have had a few and they do nickel and dime you to death. It sucks sometimes, but when you start that 5.0 up,all bullshit goes away!Everyday at work i cant wait to leave to take the 20 mile trip home and drive fast and recklessly as possible!.I too have been thinking about getting a newer one, just cause foxes are knida hard to live with as a daily driver.Im still deciding on putting even more money in my ride,or selling it and buying another stang.Good luck with the new one.Come back in a couple months and let us know if you miss your fox
