Fuel lines
So i have a 91 lx and one of the fuel lines are leaking in front of the differential. i know its not safe and i need to get it fixed. instead of getting a whole new line for around 100 bucks could i get some line from napa or somewhere and splice it in.
also i cant see the leak , i think its a crack on the top side or something |

You might get more help in the modular mustangs section.
Idunno...just sayin You probably can do a workaround, but how long that little fix will last? With fuel lines, cuz they're kinda important, I'd bite the bullet n get replacements.

Yea you can do that no problem. Just make sure you get fuel line rated for high pressure injection systems and the correct hose clamps. And when you cut the line make sure you don't squish it flat. If you use any form of cutting tool like tin snips or sidecutters, it will crimp the line when it cuts it and you'll have to make it round again.

High pressure fuel injection line, you can get it at any parts store by the foot. Supply is 5/16" and return is 1/4"... I found a tiny pipe cutter that works a while ago but I can't remember where I picked that up. If you can find one, that's the best way I've found. You can also cut it with some good sidecutters and then use a hacksaw to cut off the end that crimped. Or you can use the sidecutters and then pliers to squish the crimped end back to semi-round and gently hammer a punch in the line to get it back to its round shape. I've done all 3. Pipe cutter is by far the easiest if you can find one that is short enough and small enough to fit the lines. Obviously you've got to do some bending to use the pipe cutter but it definitely saves a lot of time.
