This is a good point. Probably another reason it's rated so low... Or the main one.

Yea, way more. A stock 351 block will hold more than 600hp with good parts and a good tune. The 9.5 deck SHP I have weighs 195lbs just for the block itself, 4 bolt caps on 2-3-4 and the main webbing and cylinder walls are way thicker. I have plans for about 800-900 at the fly and have no worries whatsoever that this block won't hold it. Only thing I've done is switch to main studs for added insurance against cap walk.

okay well thats good yeah i just didnt wanna drop close to 2000 on a 302 block and have it give on me at or before my max limit desired
