head studs driping coolant

head studs driping coolant


got the car all together.well 3 of the lower head studs.2 on 1 side and 1 on the other are dripping. we used the arp sealer on them.my question is can i just take off the nut on the stud unscrew thehead stud and reseal them 1 at a time?

you could have over torqued the head and broke the gasket

hi,,

the heads were torqued down to the specs from dss racing and trickflow..

70 #'s on the bottoms and 80#'s on the tops,i used the arp sealer and from what i've read its not uncommon for the lowers to seap a lil coolant,,wht would you recommond for sealer?

head gaskets are new ,,motor was just put together,,

you could take all the studs out and re-seal them....if that still doesnt work i would get a new gasket

i'm gonna reseal the ones that are leaking,,wht would u recommond for sealer,other than the arp sealer..
