Ebay Twin Turbo Kits

Hello hello..

I'm well aware that most poeple advise against buying these from the ebay stores.

I ordered a kit from Eworldsales1 about 2 months ago.

1979 - 1993 FORD MUSTANG Twin Turbo Kit 750hp Package TT 260 289 302 351 5.0L 5L | eBay

And I'm still getting parts funneling in. So in that aspect, from what I read about other companies, it seems to be par for the course. Everything that I've recieved has bolted right up to the my car. Intercooler required a slight bit of work ( drilling 4 holes, and making a brace bracket.

The intercooler piping seems to be right on the spot as far as everything goes. The manifolds bolt right up to the engine and the turbos mount as they should.

However. With my engine, being as it has aftermarket valve covers, TFS upper and lower intake, powersteering fuel lines and an alternator... I cant put it together with everything I need to actually run the car.

I might just put my stock valve covers back on the car, or spend the 400$ its going to cost me to get the Pony Down manifolds.

I'd put up some pictures but this website hates me for that. Figured I'd pass along my bad experience.

Oh. Because I STILL dont have my drivers side manifold. So I cant check fitment under the TFS intake but something's telling me it wont quite work.

Try to install one and the reason will become very clear. Chinese child labor is cheap.

Surprisingly enough, it all bolted on just fine. Need an Alternator relocation kit, a battery relocation kit. And its just fine as long as you aren't running aftermarket valve covers.

I was thinking the same, quite interested in how it runs. Throw up some pics of your engine bay if you get a chance.

Wow, I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand, I know that a single, quality turbo costs almost as much as that whole kit. On the other, if I understand correctly, some people are running kits like that with no issues. I am interested in hearing about your experience. I've done lots of stuff with turbos on other cars, and the price of those kits seems like both a dream and nightmare, if you know what I mean

I dont know how the company would make any money off that kit at that price, even if every thing was cheap crap, theres still alot of parts being sold at a cheap price. makes you wonder about the quality

When i fist got the boost brothers turbo kit 3 years ago I started with a stock cobra motor just up graded the fuel inj and maf and was pushing 414hp 520tq, the next year same kit I put in a 351w and upgraded the bottom end and put on some D8OE heads "I was out of money for heads and didn't relaize that with these heads I was running an 8.1 comp with my pistons lol" at 8 psi I was at 400 hp and 560tq "Had we know we were running that kind of comp ratio we would have cranked the boost" now this year I put on some trick flow twisted wedge heads that had 2.205 intake and 1.62 exhaust a lot bigger than last year and upgraded the fuel system and switched over to e85 and went to an automatic and this year I was at 600hp and 720tq at 14 psi and that is pretty much where the turbo would sign off wouldn't matter if I gave it any more boost it just wouldn't flow anymore now keep in mind that I was running the same turbo that came with the kit which was a t67 with a .84ar and at the end of this year it did have a little shaft play but no smoke and spools so nice I have a couple vids if you want I will post a couple.

Turbo's too small, and anyone's guess how long it will last. (I've seen some that are at 20,000 street miles and counting, others that burned oil after a month.) I'd also be worried about the headers' long term durability.
