Back From Afghan, Lots to Update Y'all on Pics and Vids Inside
Haven't been on here in a while thanks to the computers in Afghan blocking this site! Buncha fuckers right lol. I got home almost a month ago and been a very busy guy with the new "Racecar" My 88 Notch. I will post a few posts in this thread with Vids and Pics so yall can see the progress and What old Timmy's Been up to haha.
Right now the car is Running a best of 10.59 at 132 with a 60' of 1.64 NA. I haven't hit the fogger yet cause I know this car had been 10.3x before and thats with the Smaller headers and Vic JR intake. Now she has the Super Vic and 1 7/8 inch headers to 3.5 inch collectors. She is laying down twice in my run, once right at the 60' and then when I slam her into 2nd. The vids I will post below you can hear it. I wasn't able to tune it out last T&T cause I had to leave but I got home and Raised the Float levels a tad as they were a bit low, I am going to up the fuel pressure to 6.5-7 psi from the 6 it's at and see if that works. I also noticed when I was trying to start her to drive it home the Fuel pump wouldn't turn on and I looked at the wiring and noticed the connections were crummy so I am going to solder them for a no shit good connection. I had the Car Painted and straightened out to Black. Interior is put back together somewhat, but not worried about that as it is a 100% Drag car so oh well lol. I have what I need in the car to Run 275rs and thats it Once the car Touches Low Low 10's I will hit the spray. 250-300 shot Then I will be running 1/8 mile because these tracks here are a paint to stop 132... so 150+ would be a bit much haha. Yup, Passes are made at Coastal. I got Shannon Young To paint the car aka Dentfix over on Horsepowerjunkies.com. He did a wonderful job on the coupe too
I am still tuning and shaking down the car. This car with the Vic Jr intake mani and 1 5/8 inch headers ran a 10.3x, now she has the Super Vic and 1 7/8 inch kooks to 3.5 collectors.. So she should be good for 10.3x's on motor to 10.2x's I would think. The stumble in the 60' and the 1-2 shift is hurting my et for sure. I am fixing to head home to FL for leave but once back I will be out T&T'in the car to get down to low 10's before I hit spray Should be fun after that!!
