instrument voltage regulator question

I figure this has gotta be my gas gauge issue question is... Is this hard to install and how hard is it to pull my gauge cluster on a 93 gt ive exhausted all options everything has been replaced or fixed ive spent 380 bucks total tryn to fix my gas gauge only 180 can be justified(thats what a shop charged me to connect sum wires that got my gauge reading it was pinned to the full line) then i spent 200 on a fuel pump hanger and a fuel level sending unit im dun trying to fix it after this if it dont work i found a voltage regulator on ebay for half the price lrs wants

Pull the plastic piece that are next to your knees. 4-6 screws. You may have to also pull the plastic off of the steering column. 2 screws. You need to pull the plastic piece thats around the gauges. The part that has your lighting switches... 2 hex screws near windshield and a few at bottom. Then theres 4-6 screws in various places holding gauge cluster in. I can't remember if you need to pull the drivers side dash speaker grill or not. Just keep that in mind. Don't force any thing. If it doesn't move, that may mean that there's still another screw that needs to come out.
