Cleaning Things Up

So I just rerouted wires in the engine bay and finished that up about a week ago and got the engine bay looking nice and clean. Now its time to start on the underside. I cleaned the trans tunnel a few months ago when I had the tranny out so thats already done. Got the passenger side nice and clean today. I'm just going to keep adding pics of the cleaning up process to this same thread whenever I get stuff done.

Some pics of the engine bay wiring for ya ryan, I have another post with them but I'll put them here since I'm going to start putting everything here anyways. I feel like I already want to do it over and get the main harness behind the dash now... I also wanna pull the motor and weld up the holes.. there is so much more I want to do every day. I guess that why call it a project!

did you have to splice any wires and add on to it to reach all the locations ? it really does look clean, good job....

The only thing id be afraid of is not having access to the starter solenoid.

the starter solenoid makes a great junkction point and i would like it vary accessable. but they are ugly as hell.lol

Im tempted to do the same.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it!

Ryan I did have to splice and add wire to the master cylinder fill tank? lol not sure what it is exactly but that and I did buy new wire for my starter to reach the solenoid. 4 gauge for the positive and one 12 gauge to go to the negative side. My dad said the same thing about the solenoid! It is accessible with the inner fender well removed... but it would still be a pain to deal with! The inner fender is a PITA all in itself. Ahh lets just hope there are no issues! Nothing beats the clean look though, but I see others that are way better that make me want to do better lol oh well. If u end up doing it be sure to take pics and let us know!

I just tucked it under the the clip that goes across the rear and pushed the salt and peppers a little lower. If you end up doing you should hide it behind the dash or you might end up like me and want to do it over to hide the main harness completely!

Cleaned the passenger undercarriage and painted the drivers side. I'm going to take the trans out so I can get to the tunnel and do the rest tomorrow hopefully.

Easy way around that is to use a mini starter from a late fox/SN-95 car with the solenoid built into the starter, and replace the solenoid on the fender with a fuse block or some other type of terminal.

Just some of the progress I've been making. Took everything out and sanded the one side I had previously painted and primed the entire underside then painted after all was completely clean. All break lines have been sanded and painted hammered metal.... but as you can see in the pic I missed a spot but I'll get it! Also painted the rear differential, axle housings all the way to the ends. It's really starting to come a long. looks better in person. In the garage now while its torn apart, but once its done I'll get pictures in the daylight.

All it takes is a little money and a Lot of time! I kind of wish I had started with a cleaner mustang but now I've got the itch and I want everything crisp and clean.
