yeah and electric fan is something i surely can do. and the msd stuff i already have racing wires and aftermarket plugs and the msd distributor cap. idk if the cap really makes a difference over stock if you don't have the whole msd set up ignition, coil, and distributor

The EGR valve controls a small passageway between the intake and exhaust manifolds. When the valve opens, intake vacuum draws exhaust through the valve. This dilutes the incoming air/fuel mixture and has a quenching effect on combustion temperatures which keeps NOX within acceptable limits. As an added benefit, it also reduces the engine's octane requirements which lessens the danger of detonation (spark knock).

for performance you want to lower the inlet air temp as much as you can and getting rid of the egr is one of those ways I got ride of mine as soon as i got the car I just took the cross over tube between the heads off and plugged the hole got ride of the smog pump and pulled the egr off and blocked it off at the tb if your going for performance you dont need it lol

if you look on your passenger side exhaust pipe there should be a pipe coming off there to an egr valve and on a fox i believe it connects between the throttle body and intake

Taking off the EGR may also cause your gas milage to go down. Id keep it if i were you. At low RPM the exhaust gases take up room in the combustion chamber, wich makes your car not need as much air and gas. Thats the short of it. Fogged306 exsplains it way better then me. Maybe if he sees this post, he will post his version.

Two of the benifits of taking it off is...the engine bay looks cleaner and yes you will have lower intake temp
But another negative is your computer will all ways have an error code(not a big deal though) unless you have it tune out of the computer.
