5 lug coversion ? on an 89 GT!

I recently purchased a 89 GT with the Cobra 5 lug conversion kit already on it. The only problem is the driver side tire sticks out to far and rubs on the fender. So is this normal with this swap or did the previous owner do something wrong? The passenger side tire sits nicely under the fender like it should. An what needs to be done to fix the rubbing? Thanks for any help!

Heprolly used two different spindles. With stock k member make sure ur using 94 95 spindles only! Not 96-04 spindles

Could the k-member be off or worse is the frame straight?

Mine did the same thing, I'm totally fine on the driver's side, but I used to rub on the passenger side.

Issue is that these chassis are so flexible that over time the relative location of the fenders and K-member don't stay in alignment.

Between some fender massaging and running what most here would consider an egregious amount of negative camber, I don't rub anymore.

Wheel choice will affect this, too, if you don't stick to factory-ish backspacing.
