e85 on 11:1 compression

I will be running 11:1 compression on my 351w motor. Running this compression would I be better off running e85 or 93 octane.
I know fuel consumption will go down but I don't want this taken into account. It won't be a daily driver so I don't care much for the mpg.

-I haven't worked on upping my fuel system yet but the whole thing is getting redone.
-Motor is carburated.
-I live in Wisconsin so there's e85 stations all over.

Thanks

E85 is 104 octane i believe. So you can pack more timing into it, plus the extra fuel in the chamber will raise your dynamic compression ratio.

If you can set it up for E85, it'll do much better.

e85 is 105 octane durning the summer but when it gets close to winter they change it to e70 which will run a lot richer but like the other guys said you will love it I switched his year my self and love it I was able to run 5 degrees more timing with the turbo, Intake charge went down as e85 burns cooler. one draw back is you have to change your oil more often because of the deposits in e85 but for the price you pay for gallon and the performance you get out it well worth the switch over

We've been running E85 in my son's 87 Notch 12:1 427w bracket racer for the past 3 summers. We had the carb converted to E85 by Pro Systems(awsome carb). It does burn alot more(we went from mid 80's jets to 101/105)for E85. ProSystems also told us a 220GPH fuel pump minimum. We use a BG 280. Also takes quite a while to get up to operating temp(burns much cooler), but after a run it cools back down quick. And yes, you can smell it in your oil after a couple weekends. Don't try to run the car in a garage, the fumes stink something terrible!!

I was going to go overkill with the fuel pump anyways. The only cost difference will be the carb. I am sure I can find a deal somewhere on one.

Horsepowerjunkie. What kind of fuel line are you running? Stock or a different style?

We are running -10 braided, from the fuel cell to the pump, after the pump 1/2" aluminum to the firewall, then -8 braided to the fuel log, then 3/8" alumunum after the BG regulator, back to the top of the fuel cell.
