B303 or E303??

hello, my friend has a 1990 Mustang 5.0 5sp and he wants to install a aftermarket cam. Either the B303 or the E303. Hes looking for something with a nice lopy idle and a good midrange power increase. So far mods include cold air intake, fresh 19lbs injectors, headers, h pipe, flowmaster, king cobra clutch and 4:10 gears. He plans on putting a set of 351w or gt40 heads (ported and polished)FRPP roller rockers and a GT40 intake. Out of these 2 cams which one would fit this application the best???

Thanks

Once the heads and intake go on you could get away with the E303 cam but I would upgrade to 24lb injectors and also for heads I always here great things about the twisted wedge trick flow if your open to head suggestions im putting the twisted wedge heads on my 331 stroker build

ok, so your saying e303 with new heads, or b303 with stock heads.. i understand that putting on new heads with either cam would be the best idea, but could he get away with the b303 cam and his stock heads?

I have a similar setup just waiting for my car to get out of the trans shop for me to put my topend on...I am going with the B cam.

Ported GT40 heads and cobra intake
1.7 RRs
73MM MAf
24# inj.
65mm TB
LT, o/r H, flows dumped
4:10s

I was talking with TMOSS over on corral and i told him my setup and he said the B cam would work great with those heads.

For stock heads, you will want to upgrade the springs. I dont think the stock springs will hold a B cam

may I ask why yall keep goin to the letter cams?

If you look around, theres about 10000000000000000 better cams, that will work much better than those out dated cams

I'd toss the alphabet cams out the window, and go with a Comp Cam, or a TFS Stage 1 cam. I'd also change the heads before I put a bigger cam in the car. The stock heads SUCK at moving air.

upper and lower control arms, the stock ones will make you cry when you place them next to an after market piece.
