V8 motor

hey guys anybody know what motor this is, these are the number off of the valve cap, D8AE-9G431-BA

I will assume you are talking about a valve cover part number. Anyways, I don't have a clue what engine you have. I do know that the part number breaks down to 1978, full size Ford(Galaxie/LTD), engine part, part number 9g431, series ba(number of times the part has been updated). Maybe you could give us some info on the engine to help identify it. Like the block code, number of valve cover bolts, number of bellhousing bolts, number of oil pan bolts. Heck, maybe even take a picture of it so we can look at it.
