this guy is right.

I stand corrected.

I just read up on it and it says an 88 GT takes 4 qts w/o the fliter 5 with.

I noticed that lol. I think the guy that had the car before me put the headers on and broke the bracket and I cant get it to reach the bolt on the valve cover. its hard to tell from here but there is about 3 more inches needed before I can bend that bracket and get it under the bolt.

does anyone else have a pic of thers?

It does not go in the valve cover bolt. If i remember correctly, in stock form, it uses a stud that has 2 nuts, the first on to bolt the header, and the ither nut to keep the dipstick bracket down. You can use the header bolt that is closed to the dipstick bracket. just lossen it a little until you can place the dipstick bracket. Hope it helps.

yep. supposed to connect to the header bolt. with some aftermarket headers you'll have to grind away abit of the edge of the bracket to get it to fit.

damn, I will have to get a new one. I pulled this out once and it was a son of a bitch to get back in. I know it will be the same with the new one.

I am pretty sure the check oil light is setup to come on when you are 1.5 quarts low on oil.
