battery relocation with second battery

now that i solved the first issue i must ask another question. i'm running a 2000 watt amp and a compressor for air suspension up front aside from numerous other electrical mods - like flame throwers . the question is what way do you think is the best way to run a second battery without seeing my pride and joy go up in smoke ??????

Just run it in parallel with the first battery, Ground it at the same spot if you want and I would recommend an isolator. You can run the car without it fine but they are nice because you can run all of your extra electronics of the second battery and not worry about it straining your primary system. If you are going to get an isolator get the real ones that are essentially giant diodes, NOT the ones that are just a solenoid, they are worthless. You will know the difference by the price. The ones that are the diodes will cost you a lot more, but you get what you pay for. You can fuse the wire going to the second battery if you want. Sometimes I don't do it but its a good idea to do it anyway, 150amp fuse or breaker will be fine because you are only using the connection to charge the battery.
