Ford Extreme Performance Engine Control (EPEC)


Dear all,
I am fairly new to these forums so please forgive if I mess this up. I am hoping you good people may be able to give me some advice. I live in England in the UK and so MUstang 5.0's are not too common!

I have a Ford 5.0 engine which I am going to install in a Cobra kit car. At the moment the engine is in pieces and I have bought loads of performance parts in readiness for the assembly. It will also run a supercharger in due course.

About 3-4 years ago I bought an Extreme Performance Engine Control (EPEC) off a chap over in the States. It came with a standalone harness which plugs directly into the engine harness. The stock ECU isn't used and is left out. I understand alot of the engine harness plugs are not used by the EPEC.

Do any of you have good working knowledge or experience working with this control unit? From what I read a few years ago, it is a very capable unit.

I understand 'LaRocca' was the oricle on this unit but I think his business is no more??

I'm wondering if anyone has a wiring schematic for the standalone system. My EPEC came with a very comprehensive manual (which you can download online) but it doesn't show the wiring schematic for the EPEC in standalone mode.

Also, I need to programme the EPEC to run 'emmisions friendly' in order for my car to pass an authority test, after than, I want to run it off a more performance program. Does anyone know of anywhere I could download a emmisions friendly program for this unit.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, so feel free to contribute.
