Sn95 axle, but you will have to get the brake lines, e-brake kit, and they are also a little longer. You could always get a 8.8 form a foxbody and convert it later to disk brakes with aftermarket kit or some from a donor car.

I am pretty sure they are still 28 spline axles. As long as you never put a set of slicks on the car they will probably handle quite a bit. Now if you plan on puting slicks on the car and launching it hard at th track then I would say your gonna need to upgrade them if your making anymore than 400 rwhp to be safe. Go with a nice set of 31 or 33 spline axles from any reputable axle company and you should be fine. You will need to upgrade the actual diff unit as well if you upgrade the axles.

There is a complete built up 8.8 rearend with 5 lug Baer disc brakes for sale on Craigslist DC for $1500. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...340177448.html
It's been there a while so there must not be much interest and probably a little more then most people need or want to pay. It might be worth a look if you're in the northern VA area.
