I have a 91 convertible that I am running. I also have a 91 hatchback shell sitting in my garage. My convertible need a new windshield, and my hatch back shell has a brand new one sitting in it. So I was wondering if the two are one in the same and I can swap em out.

no they are not. the vert windshield is taller.

Is it really ? That's some thing I did not know. If I had to guess I would have thought they were the same. What about the side door windows. I know the doors on the vert don't have the frame around them but are the windows different ?

I assumed they were the same as well. From my understanding ford didnt make a vert. They actually sent out their hard tops to a aftermarket place and had em converted. Soo I thought they were the same. But this is my first vert and dont know. Thats why im asking everyone here

i have a freind that buys,sells,trades fox' and fox parts. he parts out alot of foxes. this was actually a discusion topic a few months ago when i was out their. a costomer came to get a winsheild from him and in telling rick his plans he was told it would not work. the guy didnt beleive him and got the windsheild anyway. needless to say the guy was back looking for a vert winsheild! i havnt measured myself, but if this dude says it woint fit i beleive him. here is one of his creagslist adds I buy mustang o.e.m, performance parts and wheels you can see a few stangs their!lol!

you could take some measurements sinse you have both their. or find a online windsheild dist. and try to look up both and compare part #'s, because this is second hand info. but i know he has a nothback roller for sale that needs a windsheild ,and he has about three verts he's parting out right next to it.

like i said this is second hand info,but this guy makes a living parting out foxes.it just so happend this subject came up in conversation about a month before your post, so i thought i would share what i was told.i would have thought they where the same myself.
