clutch makes noise after replacing the clutch cable

I need help, idk wats going. So I replaced my clutch cable earlier today, and when I went to start the pony the clutch was making screeching/grinding noise. So I'm wondering wat I did wrong? Oh and I do have an adjustable clutch cable. I tried tighting and loosening it but same noice occurs.
Really need help. Oh and my gears wont go in either.

Well I didn't replace it, I had to remove it cause it was put in between the aftermarkert headers from previous owner. I went to put the stck headers so I had to remove the cable, but when I put.it back on and turned the car on the.clutch started screeching and it wont go into gear. But it only screeches when the peddle is pushed in

I don't know if its the same with those cars, but in mine I had a similar issue and had to install a firewall adjuster to fix the problem.

did you have trouble getting the cable on the clutch fork? maybe you knocked the clutch fork off the pivot point. get under there and tap on the end of the clutch fork pushing towards the TOB, ie. up on the fork.

No I didn't have trouble cause I have the firewall adjuster. I checked the fork but its still stiff so I don't think it fell outta place.. idk wat could be causing it to screech, and the gears go un fine when the engine is off.

If you can't get it into gear I would be looking to see if the cable is still too loose. The fact it is making screetching noises when you started it also leads me to believe the clutch is not disengaged. I would have your buddy push the clutch pedal to the floor while you measure the travel distance of the clutch fork.

I'm wondering if I need to get a cable adjuster based on what I've been reading here.... It is hard to go into gear unless i push the pedal all the way down and it glides easy. same for reverse, excecpt if the pedal isnt all the way down it dont go into reverse...Am I right? Also hear the griding of the plate unless i push it all the way down... Guess the Spec stage 3 needs that kind of attention.
