Rear control arm bushings

Does anyone know a way to tell when rear control arm bushings are going bad?

If you have stock control arms, look for the usual stuff. Dry rotting, splitting, gap forming between the rubber and link. Try to twist it by hand. If you can twist it by hand, they are worn. Might have to jack it up for that one. I check them every time I have the rear wheels off. Also if you hear a clunking sound in the rear when breaking or pulling off, thats a good sign they are shot.

+1 on twisting them, grab them and twist them you'll be able to tell right away.

I dont have stock arms or bushings but ever since my last run at the track I hear 1 clunck and a bit of swaying in the rear when I lay into it.

Yep, probably worn. The clunk is the control arms binding up. Also check your mount points for damage.
