It Has Begun.......


This is the beginning of my scrap pile of parts that will no longer be used.




I don't think it was happy anymore. What's funny is the last time it was driven was on the track, and the last pass was the best 60', ET, and MPH





I blame this for the clutch and flywheel. This little piece has caused me more heartburn than my kids. I think I'm going to have a party and invite everyone that has helped me work on my car. I'm building a big fire and melting this bitch. I HATE YOU!!!

My new transmission is still in this turd. I need to get my car off the lift, and scoot this one over there and pull it. I can't find any updated videos of it, but here's one when it still had the 347 in it. The cars has been over 160MPH with the new setup.

It's been freshened. It's a PA, so it has the lifetime warranty. He had it in another friends car who crashed on the big end. It shoved the shaft through the transmission, and PA fixed it free of charge. It's hasn't been ran since then. He's switching to a glide.

Fo sho. The PA transmissions are the best deal going. The Supercomp I have is guaranteed to 1000 HP and has a lifetime warranty, and they're valve bodies are the shit. Great transmissions.

Yep. We are closed down, but it opens towards the end of February. It'll be a rush to get it together by then. The chromoly for the cage was ordered today, and we are going to start rewiring everything, and drawing out a schematic to wire the nitrous and transbrake up.

Shit, must be nice. Tracks around here don't open up till april... Guess I'm gonna have some catching up to do, lol. I still got no trans that can hold any power or a cage. You look like you're gunning for mid 9's now.

I don't think it'll swing mid 9s yet. It might clip the high 9s, but my cam still isn't going to see the gains from nitrous that an actual cam ground for nitrous would. I'd say real low 10s is more realistic. We will just have to see how well we can make the car work. That'll be the biggest thing.


Next year I'm going bigger and having a lot of head work done, and doing the solid roller. Then it may go 9s.

You're keeping that cam now? lol, thought you were ditching it.. I dunno, you said 300 shot right? I think that and a working trans will be plenty to crack 130+. Shit, I still think your combo with a working trans is good enough for high 10's N/A in your car with some fine tuning... I think you like to set the bar low so you're not disappointed when it doesn't reach your goals, lol.

I was going to ditch the cam, but I just can't swing it this year, so I'll use the hose as a crutch...lol

I'm starting with a 150, and we will see where it goes from there.

I don't have many pics, but I've been working on the car 2-3 nights every week. I pulled the engine to fix a leaky pan gasket. I got it, and the transmission bolted into the car. I'm glad it's all in, because I was concerned the blowproof bellhousing and scattershield wouldn't fit. The headers are bolted back up, and all is well.

I've got the rear end torn apart, and we are installing 3.73s, a locker, and 31 splines. It's a good thing too, because the pinion was actually bent, and the splines on the axles were twisted.

The new 4 core aluminum radiator, and Spal 16" fan are in.

I ordered my nitrous kit today

I got my Digital 6 in, and my HVC coil.

I got my Stroud harness, and my stock seat is at the interior shop getting a hole cut in it for the harness. I know it's not the safest way, but it'll be damn cool...lol. Chris welded up some areas on the seat, and welded a tab on the back to attach it to the cage.

The chromoly was delivered for the cage this week, and now I'm just waiting on Chris to get the cage done, which is already becoming a huge PITA in this car. It just seems like everything in this car is more difficult.

After he gets the cage done, I'm going to rewire most everything. The plan is to put another fuse block in the glove box. I've got to wire the transbrake, and nitrous up. Along with that, as the car sits, I won't be able to kill it with a harness on. I can't reach the key, or anything, so I'm going to have to wire an ignition kill where I can reach it.

Maybe it'll be ready to go by the time the track opens in February. Since I'm keeping my cam, I'm saying the car should run a 10.50ish, because we are probably only going to spray 150 on it for now. It also depends on how well the converter works, because it wasn't built for my car, but we are going to try it.
