timing


quick question,, my balancer has 2 indents marks on it... which one do i use to set the timing with.. It is a stock balancer and i am use to aftermarket balancers.. thanks

don't use the indents. the stock balancer has a timing scale marked just like the aftermarket ones.

my stock balancer has two of those lines across it,,, not sure which one to use

Did you clean the balancer and look all the way around it for a scale? If it is an older one or 351 balancer I think the timing marks are on the other side and it could have been modified to use on your engine. Just a hunch. This is assuming you already put the #1 at tdc and did not see timing scale.
