I know its not the best blower out but, Im getting a great deal on a PowerDyne BD11A. Dirt cheap...Its missing the crank pulley and some bolts. The guy said its for a 5.0 but not sure if the bracket are for a foxbody, he got it with a trade. (is there a difference between the 94-95 and fox brackets)?

What are you guys thoughts and or experience with this blower if any??? With my combo and pushing this blower at 6 maybe even 9 psi by changing the pulley size, what kind of power would I expect to see with the B-31 cam and my tfs and systemax? Would I be close to that 400-450rwhp?

Would I really need to get a tune or would I be ok to run an fmu and be safe at that psi? Would I need to add an MSD boost retard or 6AL box or what else would I need?

Ive heard powerdynes are cheaply built...but with 6psi you should make at LEAST 420...if not, somethings wrong, lol. I would get an MSD 6AL cause of the Rev limiter and two-step but that's just me.

Those blowers are internal belt driven, the only thing good about them is they run at a lower temp then others on the market, but your limited because its belt driven, so you cant spin them as high as the other gear driven superchargers. Go to there web page and it will tell you what the max rpm are

You may be replacing belts all the time... who knows.

Only buy it if its very very cheap, cause your gonna want more.
With my combo and pushing this blower at 6 maybe even 9 psi by changing the pulley size, what kind of power would I expect to see with the B-31 cam and my tfs and systemax? Would I be close to that 400-450rwhp?
You should be higher than 450 if you can get 9 psi out of it.

Would I really need to get a tune or would I be ok to run an fmu and be safe at that psi? Would I need to add an MSD boost retard or 6AL box or what else would I need?
FMU's are garbage. Buy bigger injectors (42 would be perfect for you).
Yes buy an MSD 6AL and a boost retard or the combo kit.
Lastly you're gonna want a wideband and set the timing at 12 degrees initial to start with the boost retard set at 1.5 . Colder plugs as well.
This should get you started without a dyno tune. Obviously you'll need 93 octane with this set up.
Run good gas and turn the boost retard to 0. Will make a big difference.

Just my thoughts from years wrenchin.

Thanks for all the input...Im still waiting on the guy at this point. I might pass on it if the brackets are for a 94-95.
