no electrial power

I go to start my car today and there's no power to anything. My battery is charged and I have power at the solnoid, just nothing is coming on, no fuel pump lights or anything. It's a 89 gt

Check your fusible links just past the solenoid. Sometimes they fail, or will corrode st the joints.

Something simple you can check also is to make sure your positive terminal on the battery isn't arcing against the hood. I had that happen once. My battery had slid and started arcing and was causing me to have no power to anything.

I was stumped at first on why it was happening and then my wife actually noticed a small black spot on the hood where it looked like it had burnt. She had a good eye and noticed a little detail that I kept overlooking.

It might not be this in your case but is worth checking.

Otherwise if what fogged said isn't it I'd bet on it being a ground wire.

The ground is good, I have it mounted in the trunk. What do these fuseable links look like?

about 3 inch off the stater solinoid you will see what looks like shrink wrap, and if you touch them they feel much harder then normal wire. there like a fuse. but in order to replace them you have to cut them out and either crimp or solder new ones in

But would that one fuse cause me not to have power to anything?

theres a lot of them, so im not positive but id say yes

there may be more then just at the soleniod, im just not sure where

So, i've checked power to my wires fuseable links are good and I have power at the ignition but still nothing will come on.?? I'm stumped Also when I have a wire that has power pireced the light will blink on the test light and it sounds like a blinker on, but there's not
