the cable to the strater goes on one side and every thing else goes on the other side including the batery cable, and the little red wire with the blue stripe that has a 90 degree rubber boot goes on the post.

check out the link.... http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/te...nks-ign-ac.gif

if the solenoid is mounted on the driver side fender, the post closes to the fire wall(drivers seat) gets every wire mounted to that post, and the post closes to the battery gets the cable that leads to the starter. and the little post inbetween gets the red wire with blue stripe.

Yes

Just make sure the little red wire with blue stripe that has the 90 degree boot goes on the little center post

i know the newer starters have the solenoid on the starter, which eliminates the need for the solenoid on the strut tower...do you have picture you can post

does your starter look like this
High Torque Mini Ford Mustang Starter 69 90 1988 1989 90 1991-95 Automat 302 351 | eBay

or does it look like this which is like our stock starter
http://www.ebay.com/itm/83-84-85-86-...item35aff565cf

either way we can make it work but we need to know which one you have so i can give you better advice

okay you have two choices, we can by pass the soleniod on the new starter or we can by pass the stock one on your drivers side strut tower.

if you choose to use the solenoid on the starter then you will have to exstend the red wire with the blue stripe down to the small center post on the starter.

so....start out by disconecting the battery.

this is if you want to use the solenoid on the starter......do just like i told you in my first post but instead of having the starter cable on the other post, your going to put them all togeater......now your stock fender mounted solenoid is just a junction point. now if your looking at your new starter you will see a factory wire that goes from the solenoid to the starter...it should only be an inch or two long. leave that one alone, the factory wire is the only thing going on that post. the other big post, mount the starter cable there. and the small post is for the red wire with blue strip that you will have to exstend.

Now if you want to use the stock fender solenoid then run it this way...

run the wire just as ive told you....all wires and battery cable on one side of the big post, then put the starter cable on the other big post, red wire with blue stripe on small center post...( just like the stock set up.) then on the new starter you have the post with that factory two inch wire, on that same post conect the starter cable, and ignore the other post on that starter solenoid....im not sure i was clear...if you have any questions just ask

im going to just bypass the solenoide on the starter.
so the little cable that connects the starter to the solenoide connected to it i put the long red cavle? (just to clarify.)

yes...so basicly its like running it the stock way, so the solenoid on the starter does nothing.

just make sure that the solenoid on the strut tower is hook up the way i told you to do it the vary first time. ( comment #2)
