No not really, it just takes some time plus money for new gaskets. The main thing you have to worry about is an old rusted intake bolt breaking off and have to drill that one out to

That's good news I have been reading some walk through and it seems manageable. Do u have a walk through that u recommend, and gasket wise should I all the ones they suggest for replacing lower and upper or just the main gaskets?

Get the upper to lower and lower to heads. Tube of RTV(pick your color) to use where lower intake meets block. Gaskets that are used will fail.

you have to take off the upper intake in order to take the lower off, so you will need all the gaskets

As mentioned it is not hard to do. As long as you don't mind getting your hands dirty it isn't rocket science. Just don't over tighten the bolts when you put them back in.

Cool well I picked up a kit it has lower and uppper gasket and the distributor gasket, I also picked up a new thermostat gasket and silicon. I got a 3/8x16 tap and 3/8 x16 bolts is this all I will need?
